Join us on Sunday, November 14th at 6:30PM for a rundown on how key races from across the state played out, and a discussion on where Ranked-Choice Voting could have made a difference for voters this election season!
One of RCV’s key benefits is guaranteeing that elections are won by candidates with the support from a majority of voters. In many local and state races this year, we’re seeing 3 or more candidates vying for the same seat - making it increasingly likely that, in at least some of these races, a candidate might win with less than 50% of the vote. These races are the clearest example of where and why we need Ranked-Choice Voting in NJ: to ensure that the declared winner truly has the support of the public, and voters don’t have to balance “spoilers” and “strategic voting” when they go to the ballot box.
