In the past two months, two additional municipalities voted to urge New Jersey to enable ranked-choice voting for local elections. Hoboken, Jersey City, and Red Bank have stepped up. How did they do it, and could your town be next? Join us for a Statewide Celebration of these wins on Zoom this Sunday, June 9th at 7:30 PM.

Most recently, Red Bank has joined the movement for electoral reform by passing a resolution in favor of ranked-choice voting (RCV)! Red Bank has made the same commitment to its voters as Hoboken and Jersey City. If New Jersey passes the Municipal and School Board Voting Options Act (enabling local RCV elections), they will hold a referendum on RCV adoption in the next general election.

The event will spotlight our victories in Jersey City and Red Bank, and strategize on how we can push Trenton to act. Notable guests include Jersey City Council members Frank Gilmore and James Solomon, who will join us to reflect on the passage of the Jersey City Ranked-Choice Voting trigger ordinance. Additionally, we will share how to reach out to your legislators about the Municipal and School Board Voting Options Act and how to encourage your town to pass the next RCV resolution.

Will you come?
