We have a major opportunity coming up in South Brunswick to show support for ranked-choice voting — and we need your voice.

On Wednesday, May 7th at 6:00 PM, the South Brunswick Township Council will consider a resolution supporting ranked-choice voting (RCV) and the state-enabling legislation S1622/A4042, also known as the Municipal and School Board Voting Options Act.

Co-sponsored by Senator Andrew Zwicker and Assemblyman John Allen, this bill S1622/A4042, would enable municipalities to adopt RCV for local elections — including mayor, council, and school board — if approved by voters through a referendum.

Voter Choice NJ is working with local elected officials, community advocates, organizations, and residents across the state to pass municipal resolutions in support of this legislation.

Support for RCV is growing: Hoboken, Jersey City, Red Bank, Princeton, South Orange, Maplewood, and Montclair have already passed similar resolutions or ordinances. Now it’s South Brunswick’s turn to send a clear message to Trenton: Pass this bill and let residents decide.

Will you come?
